The team at Höhe Design Group utilizes the latest computer-aided design (CAD) software, ArchiCAD, in our design process. Traditional CAD software is used by architects to create and modify their designs. The software uses vector-based graphics to depict the objects of drafting, or may use raster graphics to show the overall appearance of a design. Here’s how ArchiCAD is helping our architects take custom designs to the next level.
ArchiCAD enables us to model faster and create detailed, accurate construction estimates for reinforced concrete, complex steel, timber, and composite beams. The software allows for the design of complex columns that meet graphic and representations standards. The tools made available to us through this software allows us to create designs with extreme accuracy, efficiency and in correlation with a client’s vision.
ArchiCAD has 2D and 3D drafting and other building information modeling functions. Architects are able to use data-enhanced parametric objects (smart objects). This function differs from the operational style of CAD programs created in the 80s. ArchiCAD allows the user to create a virtual building with elements like slabs, roofs, walls, windows, doors, and furniture.
